From now on, I (Cory) will be updating this blog with as much information about Cassandra as I can.
I've just received my first letter from her; I guess I can post it here just in case some of you haven't heard from her yet. Let me know if this is a sufficient way of updating you.
"Hello Beautiful Family!I'm doing so great here! I LOVE it! From the moment I got here, I felt reassured that this is the place I need to be. :) I hope I can get the language (I keep getting told that I will). It's a little difficult! The first day, our "Guru" (teacher) only spoke Tagalog! They actually only speak Tagalog the whole 9 weeks and we have to speak straight Tagalog starting week 5! My district has 3 girls (including myself) and 5 "elders" (missionary guys). We've been hanging out non-stop because it's like our family. We have a FULL schedule. From 6:30am-10:30pm is mapped out minute by minute. It's a ton of fun and we get so much done! We're in our classroom for most of the day. I miss you guys! I'm studying so hard and I'm learning a ton. It's only day 3 and I can ask questions in Tagalog, pray, and bear my testimony. So...
Alam ko po na tatoo po ang ebanghelyo. Mahalaga po ang Aklat ni Mormon. Tagapagligtas po ang Jesucristo. Mapagmahat po ang Diyos. Sa pangalan ni Jesucristo. Amen :)
Love you all so much!

My box # is 104
It's a lot faster, I'll get your reply the next day instead of waiting for mail.
Thinking about you always!
Love, sister Martinez"
It's great to hear she's having a great time, I'm sure most of you are relieved.
Let's write to her and show her how loved and supported she is!
